About the Festival

The Etruria Canals Festival has been a popular community event for many years. Visitors come from a wide area to enjoy a range of activities and to look at the boats. It is a very popular event with boaters and has long enjoyed the support of the working boat community in particular.

Historically it was organised by a team lead by the Industrial Museum with funding from the City Council, but since 2012 the Inland Waterways Association North Staffordshire & South Cheshire (formerly Stoke-on-Trent) Branch and the Etruria Boat Group Volunteers have been running the event.

The Festival is part of the Join us in June series of water-based festivals, the others in 2013 being Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival (14-16 June) and Lymm Transport Festival (20-23 June.) We hope to see you at one or more of these exciting events.
